*All specialty classes offered by semester to give students the opportunity to switch mid-year and try something new. Not all specialty classes are eligible for payment with charter funds.

Do you offer scholarships?Our Parent Organization, Heartwood Foundation, offers a few scholarships each semester. Please email heartwood.foundationoc@gmail.com if you would like your child to be considered for a scholarship.

Do I have any obligations beyond class fees?We are a homeschool community and need your support to help us thrive! Each family is asked (but not required) to offer 4-8 hours of service a month depending on how many days your child has classes. Examples of volunteer opportunities are: Helping children with chopping fruits and vegetables/snack preparation Building Supply preparation for teachers, festivals, etc. Small group leader (if the class is divided into groups for different tasks) Laundry Cleaning Grant writing Fundraising Festival planning and running Workshop preparation and running Class parent to help communicate class needs and build community Sewing

Are Field Trip Costs Included?Field Trip costs are not included within our class payment amounts. Children will take several field trips each year and the cost varies depending upon the trip. Teachers try to plan free field trips and keep costs low. Your child’s participation is always optional.
